Gianna Whittaker

Gianna Whittaker initially joined the NGCI team as a Summer Intern in 2019. Her passion for the arts led her to the NGCI team, and her time at the Gallery greatly inspired her to pursue further creative education overseas.

After completing her BFA in Animation and Visual Effects online with an emphasis in 3D Animation with the Academy of Art University, she rejoined the team in September 2024 as an annual intern within the Education Department. During her studies, she taught Art part-time to local schools and discovered a love for teaching. Combining her knowledge and passion for art, she now uses her role as an Intern to teach Art to students at the Gallery through the Walkers After School Art Program, Gallery tours, hosted events, and more.

While working as an intern, Gianna endeavours to gain valuable experience with the Education Department and highlight and preserve Cayman’s Culture and Heritage through Art. She also hopes to inspire people of all ages to express themselves through Art and find their inner artist because “there is creativity in everyone; they just have to find it.”
