Monica Boothe
Monica Boothe joined the National Gallery as Office Manager in June 2021. Reporting to the Director, this role supports the day-to-day management and administration of the busy central office and is responsible for supervising all operational and financial matters under her remit.
Prior to joining NGCI, Monica worked as a supervisor for a local equipment distribution company and entrepreneur. Her experience, gained both in Cayman and overseas in the UK, means she brings with her extensive sales, customer service, compliance expertise, business administration and operational experience that aligns well with the needs of her role at NGCI.
Monica is currently studying to obtain her undergraduate degree in Business Administration through distance learning in the United Kingdom. She holds a diploma in Customer Service and has obtained formal training in accounting software, social media management & Google AdWords’. Monica is confident that her studies will support her career advancement and professional development and enable her to contribute further to the work of NGCI and its connection to the local community.
Monica is creative, expressing herself through a passion for professional makeup artistry. She was a self-taught artist for many years and later pursued formal training to become certified. Monica is excited to be working at NGCI and having the opportunity to expand her knowledge about the museum professional and history of art in the Cayman Islands. She is a strong advocate of local culture and heritage and looks forward to supporting the work and mission of the National Gallery through her role.
