Q & A

Where are you from?

I was born in Bulgaria but before I settled in Grand Cayman I lived in London and Chicago.

When did you start creating your products and what are your preferred materials?

Even though my first degree was a Bachelor's in Education with a specialty in fine arts and this kept me close to art in many ways, my real passion to create things was unlocked in 2015 when I moved to Grand Cayman. My favourite material is natural silk in all its varieties.

What inspires you to create your products?

My inspiration comes from the beauty of the Caribbean Sea, tropical nature, the beauty of the sky at every sunset and every sunrise...And all that takes only a moment to look around.

What do you think are the most important and unique characteristics of the products you create?

We live in an era of mass production in all levels of life. With my work, I want to bring to life the value of everything made by hand with passion and love. Each one of my works is unique in its own way. My work is very colourful and vibrant, and this is the way I want to share the beauty of the colours in our everyday lives.

What do you expect for your creative future?

I seek to use nature as a source of not only inspiration but also as the only source of creation for my art.
