Frans De Backer

Frans De Backer started his filming career in 1988 working for Belgian National Television. As a lighting cameraman, he travelled extensively around the world whilst making documentaries and travel shows. For the last seven years he has lived and worked as an underwater cinematographer in Grand Cayman and his work was featured in NGCI’s Cross Currents – 1st Cayman Islands Biennial (2019) and Saltwater in Their Veins (2020).
