About the Artist
Zoë Blount
Zoë Blount studied Fine Art at the University of Reading, UK and has since exhibited extensively in the UK, Italy, Hong Kong, and Grand Cayman. Blount’s style is influenced by the New York Abstract Expressionists of the 1950s, as well as the Impressionists, Fauves, and European contemporary painters such as Howard Hodgkin, Patrick Heron, and Gillian Ayres. Blount has worked in several different fields while also teaching art and crafting and participating in several group mural projects. In Cayman, where Blount lived from 2003 to 2008, the artist worked with Noah’s Ark – the Store for Children, producing murals for children’s initiatives, while also hosting painting classes for teenagers, fine arts, and ceramics workshops. She currently resides in the UK.
