Fisherman
Leigh Pawling’s triptych consists of three images of the same figure captured in different seated and standing poses, lending a sense of dynamism to an otherwise quiet scene of a man fishing from the shore. Pawling’s technique favours the expressive handling of her medium over naturalistic detail, capturing the shifting light and atmosphere of the surrounding sea and sky.
