Frazer strives to capture the day-to-day activities of Cayman’s residents, transforming mundane chores into the colourful and whimsical. He works in painting and sculpture and is inspired by the colours, people, and culture of the Cayman Islands.
About the Artist
Mark Frazer
b. 1960
Born in the United Kingdom, Mark Frazer received a degree in arts education from Middlesex Polytechnic, United Kingdom, and arrived in Grand Cayman in 1985 to teach art. A painter and sculptor, Frazer is best known for his wire-and-plaster figures on bicycles, which have been exhibited at the Art@Governor’s festivals. NGCI exhibitions include Our Story of Art (2013) and All Access (2015).
