Spirits in the Rain
The Cayman Islands’ maritime heritage is a recurring theme in Saba’s work, which usually depicts active scenes of vessels under sail or fishermen preparing to launch their boats. Here two traditional Caymanian catboats are chased by a pending storm, beautifully realised by the subdued palette and energised brushstrokes.
