Culture & Heritage Video Series

The Culture and Heritage Video Series began development in 2020 after Educators flagged a need for increased video learning resources. To fill this gap, the National Gallery began planning an educational video series that would support teachers’ curricular goals while highlighting the visual arts and exploring key topics in Cayman’s culture, history, and heritage.

Generously sponsored by DART, the Culture and Heritage Video Series presents ten engaging videos where subject experts, artists, and cultural practitioners delve into Cayman’s story. From thatch basketry to vernacular architecture and maritime heritage, the series dissects how cultural practices and visual art can help us to understand geology, engineering, local ecosystems, and much more.
