Dear Gentle Reader,
The ton is abuzz with tales from the much-anticipated return of the season’s finest gala, the National Gallery’s fundraising extravaganza. The Regency Garden Masquerade gala was held on 25 November 2022 on the glistening grounds of the Gallery, and it was most certainly marvelous!
Guests in their finest frocks were treated to an array of splendid performances, cuisine, libations, and dancing until the early hours. Most importantly, gentle reader, the evening raised necessary funds to ensure the National Gallery’s education programmes, exhibitions and admissions remain accessible to all in our community; a noble endeavour indeed. Lady Vicki Wheaton led a lively auction, several lucky guests won raffle prizes, and generous donors pledged to Sponsor A Scholar. By all accounts the evening was a spectacular success, and this author, on behalf everyone at the National Gallery, wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all who contributed to this wondrous event.
