Join us for an informative Business of Art lecture on Intellectual Property Law with Sophie Peat(nee Davies).
Intellectual Property subsists in paintings and architecture, poetry and music, as well as in fashion, films and photography, just to name a shortlist of art protect by various Intellectual Property laws. Sophie will examine how and when Intellectual Property in art is created, and how it can be identified, protected, exploited and enforced by the owner, whilst drawing from real-life cases and examples.
Sophie Peat is a Senior Associate at HSM IP Ltd. Her practice focuses on all aspects of intellectual property protection, enforcement, and dispute resolution. She manages a team of highly skilled and professional IP Paralegals delivering worldwide intellectual property services, specialising in the Caribbean, offshore jurisdictions and South and Central America, to a broad client base. Clients include major Fortune Global 500 brand owners, international law firms and other specialist IP practices, as well as individuals and companies in the Cayman Islands. Sophie is a member of the Intellectual Property Caribbean Association (IPCA), International Trademark Association (INTA) and MARQUES.
