September is Literacy Month, and to celebrate, our Preschoolers & Parents class will be featuring different activities based on popular children’s books each week throughout the month. Join instructor Monica Powery in the Susan A. Olde Art Studio every Friday from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM as she reads a story, and then use your imagination to make the book come to life through engaging art activities! Storytelling will begin at 10:35, and the book will be on hand if you wish to read it again. Next up on 30 September we will be reading “This is Our Earth” and creating a very special project…. decorated plant pots, complete with soil and seeds to grow your own plant! This is a drop-in class recommended for children ages 2 – 4 and costs $5.00 per child (members receive a 10% discount). As always, expect to get a little messy and have a lot of fun!
