Volunteer’s Training Series: Cayman Art History
05:30 pm-06:30 pmDescription
The National Gallery relies on the help and support of our generous volunteers who fill a variety of tasks on a regular basis, including exhibition hall greeters and event and programme supporters. To ensure all those filling these important positions feel informed about the work of the National Gallery and how the organisation fits into the Cayman community, NGCI runs a series of monthly training sessions for all those signed up as current volunteers and who would like to attend.
We have completed one round of the series and are hosting our next training sessions Caymanian Art History on 7 November 2019. A member of the NGCI Curatorial team will share their knowledge on Cayman’s Art History, using the artwork contained within National Collection to guide attendees through a historical and stylistic journey of Cayman’s artwork and artists starting in the 1970’s and leading up to the present day.
Other upcoming sessions within the Volunteer Series will include:
Cayman Art History – Thursday 7 November 2019 5:30pm-6:30pm
Museum Education – TBC
Curating and Exhibition Development – TBC
New volunteers coming on board will be required to attend a minimum of one session and complete an induction and orientation before starting.
