National Gallery of Cayman launches “lockdown photography” exhibit

The National Gallery has introduced the launch of a brand new on-line images exhibition that explores the Cayman neighborhood’s experiences of lockdown, a mirrored image on how Cayman, individually and collectively, handled this distinctive second in historical past.
Entitled “2020 Vision: A community’s experience of lockdown”, the exhibit was developed from a country-wide ‘Open Call’ for pictures in late 2020.
Forty-two photographers are featured within the exhibition and their photos seize a “snapshot” of life in Cayman each throughout lockdown and as restrictions had begun to ease. It has been curated into three principal themes: Household Time/Indoors, Nature and Out of doors Time and Neighborhood.
This exhibition is designed as an ongoing mission and the gallery will proceed so as to add to the net show because it receives extra pictures and tales from the neighborhood.
Featured photographers embrace: Claire Birchall, Lennon Christian, Lisa Collins, Julie Corsetti, Ayana Dacres, Mariasol Danziger, Thaís de Souza, Ryan Carlo J. Dumaguing, Al Ebanks, Sheree Ebanks, Shane Nobee Edwards, Jim Gates, Svitlana Gilyun, Cassandra Greene, Francis Guevarra, Heather Holt, Christopher Humphries, Joanna Humphries, Maggie Jackson, Paige Jordison, Whippet McCallum, Destinie McField, David McGibbon, Bridget McPartland, Heather Meinen, Tiyen Miller, Phillippa Miller, Jenna Nicholson, Alysha Pearson, Lori Peterson, Kaiman Photograph (Kris), Nikole Poirier, Graziela Portela, Rebecca Raige, Lisa Reid, Elizabeth Riley, Dione Scotland Rivero, Brandee Romanica, Simone Scott, Tricia Sybersma, Davina Valaydon, Michaela Walker, and Tony Walton.
