The 2022 National Children’s Festival of the Arts exhibition (NCFA) is a showcase of the visual arts in our schools across the Cayman Islands. This digital exhibition follows a physical showcase of select artworks, which were on display in the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands’ Community Gallery from 21 February – 4 March 2022, as part of a collaboration between the Cayman Islands Department of Education Services (DES), the National Gallery (NGCI), and the NCFA Committee. Allowing visitors to NGCI’s website an extended opportunity to experience this celebration of student creativity, this online exhibition aims to preserve the NCFA project for posterity within the digital realm, enabling the wider community to view all the artworks that were submitted to this year’s showcase.
This exhibition is one component of the multifaceted activities of NCFA, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The artworks on display represent all genres of the Visual Arts syllabus for all Key Stages. DES and NGCI wish to publicly celebrate and congratulate all participating schools and students, whose works collectively reflect the incredible talent of our young artistic community.
